عَلَيَّا تَعَطَّفْ يَا أَمَلِي
بِشِفَاءِ الْقَلْبِ مِنَ الْعِلَلِ
تَعَلَّمْ بُكَايَ وَنُحْ يَا حَمَامْ
وَ خُذْ عَنْ أَجْفَانِي دُرُوسَ الْغَرَامْ
أَيَكُونُ عُبَيْدُكَ فِي وَجَلٍ
وَمُحِبُّكَ لَنْ يَشْقَى أَبَدًا
تَشَوَّقَتْ رُوحِي لِشَطِّ الْــوَادِي
فَهَا أَنَا ذَا رَبِّي خُذْ بِيَدِي
فَدُرَّةُ حُبِّي لِلْمَوْلَى الرَّحِيـم
تُزِيلُ الْهُمُومَ يَوْمَ التَّدَانِـي
عَشِقْتُ اْلإِلاَهَ وَلاَ صَبْرَ لِـــــي
فَحُرْقَةُ حُبِّهِ فِي الْفُـــــــؤَادِ
مَحَبَّةُ اللَّهِ نَارٌ مُوقَـــــــــــــــــدَة
تُبِيدُ بِالرُّوحِ وَ بِالْجَسَـــــــــــــــدِ

Alayya ta’aattaf ya amalee
Bi shifaa’I l'qalbi mina l'ilali
Ta’allam bukaaya wa nuh ya hamaam
Wa khudh an ajfaanee duroosa l'gharaam
Ayakoonu ubayduka fi wajalin
Wa muhibbuka lam yashqaa Abadan
Tashawwaqat roohee li shatti l'wadee
Fahaa ana dha rabbi khudh bi yadee
Fadurratu hubbee lil mawla Raheem
Tuzeelu l'humooma yawma tadaanee
Ashiqtu l'ilaha wa la sabra lee
Fahurqahu hubbihi fi l'fu’aadi
Mahabbatu llahi naarun mooqada
Tubeedu bi roohi wa bi l'jasadi

Have mercy on me, O my hope
With the healing of the heart from the ills
Learn my cry and moan, O dove
And take from my eyelids the lessons of love
Will your servant be in awe
And your lover will never be miserable
My soul yearned for the shore of the valley
So here I am, O Lord, take my hand
The pearl of my love for the Merciful Lord
Removes the worries on the day of the lowness
I loved God and there is no patience for me
For the burning of His love in the heart
The love of God is a lasting fire
It destroys with the soul and the body
